Petanque Wallingford

Sports & Leisure - Bowls

Petanque Wallingford

We play petanque (boules) on Wednesday evenings in the car park of Wallingford Sports Park, starting at 7.00pm until it gets too dark to see! We play from Early April until about the end of September. (Boules is the French word for bowls). All ages, agilities and genders welcome. No experience necessary and no boules required – we have boules for you to play with. Later when you have some experience we will help you choose the size and weight for you. £5.00 to join Petanque Wallingford, our newly formed club.

Boules is the friendly sociable game played under the trees across France and in Spain outside the café. Petanque is played in much the same way, but in the UK we can play in Leagues, National Competitions, or for the really keen – Internationally!

Meanwhile, just come along and learn the ropes from our fully qualified coach, and have fun. We look forward to seeing you.
